Gunnison Ave, Suite 240 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501-5711 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Colowyo Coal Mine (Permit No. C-1981-019) <br /> Technical Revision No. 108 (TR-108) <br /> TR-108 proposes a modifications to the Collom Haul Road. <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on January 18, 2017 an <br />application to revise coal mining operations at the Colowyo Coal Mine was considered complete <br />for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Colowyo Coal Company L.P.. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the R egulations initiate from this date of <br />filing. <br /> <br />TR-108 proposes a raw wa ter pipeline alignment from the Wilson Reservoir directly adjacent to <br />the existing raw water pipeline, a temporary facilites area to support developement of the Collom <br />Haul and Facilities, two new sediment ponds, access roads to support mine development, some <br />additional topsoil stockpile locations for the Collom Haul Road, a minimal increase in the permit <br />boundary, a revised disturbance boundary for construction of the Collom Haul Road, an elevated <br />crossing design of Maffat County Road 51 per the request of Moffat County, and a revised <br />cumulative bond schedule. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside of <br />the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining opera tion is on land located approximately 28 miles South of Craig, <br />Colorado.
