Welt <br />Environmental Engineer III <br />kwelt(cDa rch coal.com <br />phone: 970.929.2238 <br />Re: Mountain Coal Company, LLC, West Elk Mine; Permit No. C-1980-007; <br />Technical Revision No. TR -140, Revised MVB Pad and Road Locations for <br />Longwall Panels E7 and E8 <br />Dear Mr. Simmons: <br />To supplement Mountain Coal Company, LLC's (MCC) Technical Revision (TR) No. TR - <br />140 application, MCC submits the attached revised map that shows that two (2) of the <br />Longwall Panel E7 start -line (eastern -most) Mine Ventilation Borehole (MVB) pads that <br />had been approved in TR -138 have been eliminated and replaced with one pad located <br />slightly to the west. MVB Nos. E7-1 and E7-2 will be drilled from this new pad.
