The weather was clear with temperatures hovering <br />in the low 70 degrees Farenheit. Records were inspected the following morning 17 November 2016. <br /> <br />The inspection included a visit to the Jansen loadout. Office discussions with Mr. Louis Head included <br />the establishment of a new reference area for Golden Eagle. Mr. Massarotti accompanied me throughout <br />the inspection of the site. <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 2016 MAINTENANCE ITEMS <br />1. The west end of the New Elk site requires additional stream buffer markers. <br />2. Coal refuse and fines under the conveyor should be removed to the RDA to prevent movement offsite as <br />pointed out in previous inspections. NEEC removed what was pssible. Resolved <br />3. Coal residue remained at both ends of the Jansen Loadout conveyor system. Resolved <br />4. Numerous weed species appeared in prevalent numbers throughout the Janson loadout site. <br />5. The ring ditch D around topsoil #2 is ponding water. It was breached in last rain so monitor this and <br />build up the ditch to prevent breaching making sure to establish and maintain positive drainage to <br />prevent water ponding. Resolved <br />6. Rills forming on the eastern slope of the soil storage area. Resolved <br />7. Gully forming at the top of RDA on east side near the belt portal. Resolved with the exception of <br />hydroseeding. <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 2016 MAINTENANCE ITEMS <br />8. Willows that have grown up in ditches around the coal reclaim area (D58) should be removed during <br />the dry season and ditch stability assured. <br />9. Road to water tank requires grading. <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02 <br />o Disturbed area boundary markers (white stakes) observed were intact and appeared properly <br />placed at the New Elk site.
