<br />APPLICATION FOR LOGICAL MINING UNIT MODIFICATION APPROVAL AND PROPOSED
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE OF APPROVAL
<br />The Colorado State Office of the Bureau of Land Management received an application from Tri-State
<br />Generation and Transmission Association, Inc., on behalf of Colowyo Coal Company, 5731 State Highway 13,
<br />Meeker, Colorado 81641, for a modification of Colowyo Mine Logical Mining Unit (LMU) C0057194 in
<br />accordance with 43 CFR 3487.
<br />The proposed LMU modification contains land from six federal coal leases and one state coal lease in Moffat
<br />and Rio Blanco Counties, Colorado. The application to modify the LMU adds all lands in federal coal lease
<br />COC68590 and 27.84 acres in federal coal lease C00012347501. The descriptions of the land contained within
<br />the proposed LMU are as follows:
