This written notification is follow-up to the verbal
notification that was made to you via voicemail on December 2, 2016.
MNGW-1 was sampled during a normally scheduled monitoring event on November 11, 2016, with a pH
value of 6.4 standard units (s.u.). This exceeded the numeric protection limit(NPL) of 6.5-8.5. As required
by the Groundwater Management plan, a follow-up pH measurement was taken within 30 days, on
November 28, 2016, resulting in a pH of 6.2 s.u.
These results do not appear to be anomalous, or obvious outliers. Henderson is currently working on
further evaluation of the pH trends and the underlying water chemistry.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 720-942-3518.
Sincerely,
41,- 77
Tim Haynes
Sr. Environmental Engineer
Climax Molybdenum Company
Henderson Operation
cc (via email):
M.
