EO
1962, (o40108b8), 7.5 minute series (1/24,000) topographical map.
Without a detailed contour map, or survey, from before the mining in the
1960s and 70's, the 10 foot contours could be a close representation of
the slopes before mining. We should state that there is still some
uncertainty concerning the slopes before mining. Photo 2 does provides a
representation of the original (undisturbed) dip slope that should have
been common throughout the pit. The photo shows the far west end of
the pit just at the edge of the boundary.
P
Contours were measured for the 1995 land survey and are provided in Map 6
and 7. Those contours represent the land form after the mining in the early
70's. A slope of 3/1 is not common on the hill even in undisturbed areas.
Elevations range from a minimum of 6000 feet at the West and East Twin
Washes up to 6100 feet at the top of the hill (Map 6).
13 1 Page
I[ilk PIWV ILl_6R\%'Ia.€'11, V1,,IA DI LSO 1.€ ANCII
€;t (AkI--% V B.WN INN IitONNIHN IAL AND AQ I 1 I !Lti 1 L CI'Al
