Using the currently available soils maps and the NRCS (Schroeder, 2004) soil <br />survey of Moffat County, the potential vegetative climax community was <br />determined for five soil types on or surrounding the pit. Table 1 provides the <br />correlation between soil type and plant species. Appendix E provides a <br />detailed map of the same information. <br />Map 4.
