The Technical Revision application does not propose any changes to the
Reclamation Plan as it pertains to the level area below the highwall where
processing activities previously occurred. This portion of the mine site was heavily
impacted by flooding in 2013 and currently is covered with sediment and cobble.
The current Reclamation Plan calls for reclaiming this area to rangeland. The area
was previously affected by mining operations and must be reclaimed. Please
describe how the Operator intends to reclaim this portion of the quarry. Also, see
additional comments under Item No. 1.
Response:
This area will be reclaimed under a future Technical Revision for a separate
reclamation area as described in the response to Item No. 1.
11. The Reclamation Plan calls for constructing stormwater diversion ditches.
Please affirmatively state that the Operator has acquired a discharge permit from
5
hdrinc.com
1670 Broadway, Suite 3400, Denver, CO 80202-4824
(303)764-1520
