EXHIBIT E
6.4.5 EXHIBIT E- Reclamation Plan
McCormick Excavation And Paving LLC(applicant) Stewart II
1. Reclamation for project shall consist of install correct grades on project using overburden. Once
that is complete and done satisfactory then spreading of topsoil will be applied, that was
stripped from project. All areas will be sloped at least a 4 to 1 or flatter. The site will be planted
back to grass. It is a pasture now and will be put back as pasture land for its future use.Seeding
will be done when a large enough area is done to justify a seeding company to come out and
seed. The ground will be chiseled and disked to eliminate compacted ground.Compost will be
spread over reclamation area if needed. We will use a disk drill to plant grass seed.We will use a
Blue Gramma and Western Wheat Grass with Buffalo Grass being the majority.Seeding ratio will
be 15lbs per acre. Mix contains:20%Tetraploid Perennial Rye, 20%Smooth Brome, Lincoln 15%
Paiute Orchardgrass, 15%Hycrest Crested Wheatgrass,15%Pubescent Wheatgrass, 15%
Dahurian Wildrye. By using a cover crop like rye it is not necessary to use a mulch. If one
wanted to they use a weed free straw. I'm going to use a cover crop instead of mulch.
Proposed post-mining land use is to put it back to pasture land.Which is one of the common
land uses in the vicinity. The revegetation will be real similar to what was there before we
started.Slopes 4 to 1 or flatter will help with any erosion, in places of concern may install some
types of terraces to help with any erosion if erosion becomes a problem. All signs will be
installed and maintained.
V. Minimum depth of topsoil to be replaced will be around 2-4 inches. We will replace and
spread what was available to be removed.
