The pond was stable with embankments well vegetated. <br /> <br />The West Pit Pond was dry. No issues were observed. <br /> <br />Prospect Pond held water with no discharge. Embankments were very well vegetated and stable. Primary and <br />emergency spillways were clear of obstructions with no issues observed. <br /> <br />The Streeter Pond was inspected. The access road along the embankm ent was used as an access point for an AML <br />project located along the slope of the hill. The disturbed area was roughened, reseeded and hayed. The <br />embankments remained stable and no issues were observed. <br /> <br />The Section 28 was dry during the inspection. No issues were observed. <br /> <br />Access point along Streeter Pond. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Rills along the southern end of the East Pit reclamation that reformed have been filled in once again by being <br />tracked out. No issues were observed. <br /> <br />OTHER (SPECIFY): <br />On August 2, 2016, the Division was notified by Colowyo of a small brush fire located adjacent to the South Taylor <br />Pit. The fire was extinguished by firefighting units that same day. Fire lines were cut in around the area using <br />dozers and graders. The brush fire burned approximately 3.8 acres and approximately 1.4 acres of disturbance <br />occurred to cut in the fire lines. The fire is being documented under permitting action MR -165 and is currently <br />under the Division’s review. The cause of the fire was still under investigation at the time of the inspec tion. No <br />issues were observed.
