Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) senior management, we are proceeding with interim
stabilization measures for the areas of concern, as follows;
Northern staging area on Peabody -owned lands - We will clean-up any remaining materials and debris,
and the disturbed areas will be tilled and reseeded in the spring (2017) consistent with ongoing use of
these and adjacent areas for hay cropping
Southern staging area on State lands - We will clean-up any remaining materials and debris, and the
disturbed areas will be scarified, as necessary, and drill -seeded with the approved dryland pasture seed -
mix as soon as our contractor can schedule and mobilize to the site (but no later than within the next 30
days). The intent being to allow the seed to winter -over to germinate in the spring.
.- Southern staging area in State lands - We are currently making contacts to schedule a contractor in to
reestablish the fence -line that was removed or partially removed to facilitate material removal activities.
Our intent is to have the fence -line reestablished prior to winter so that controlled grazing activities can
occur on these lands in the spring.
We will keep you apprised of our progress on these activities and provide documentation on status and
completion going forward. We appreciate your cooperation and patience. Please feel free to contact me with
any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
For Hayden erminal, LLC
Jer M. eton
cc: iranda Blomquist/Peabody
Ginny Brannon/CDRMS
Michael Boulay.
