The following hydrologic mechanisms are in place within the <br /> mining operation boundary adjacent to the Geisert Pit Mitigation Area: <br /> • Two ditches have been excavated between the east and west ponds. Hoses have been laid in <br /> each ditch to move surface water from the east pond to the west pond in times of <br /> dewatering; <br /> • Two overflow culverts (a 24" and a 30 ") have been placed between the west pond and the <br /> Cache La Poudre River; <br />
