PERMIT #: M-1979-140
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: SJM
INSPECTION DATE: October 4, 2016
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection of the Lemoine Gravel Pit, DRMS file no. M-1979-140, operated by
Delta County. This site is located approximately 1.5 miles northeast of Hotchkiss, Colorado in Delta County. I,
Stephanie Mitchell of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety conducted the inspection.
Larry Record and Bob Basher of Delta County accompanied me on the inspection.
The permit area is permitted for 33.30 acres with 33.30 maximum disturbed acreage. 15 of those acres have
been mined and completely reclaimed with established vegetation. The mining direction is to the northeast.
The permit sign was in place and all permit boundary markers were in place at the time of inspection.
There was fuel stored on site. A loader was present. There appears to be no offsite erosion and no water
retention was observed.
Overall, no problems were noted on this site. The operation appears to be in compliance with the approved
reclamation plan.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Stephanie Mitchell at the Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado
81501, phone number (970) 242-5025.
