I have reviewed the submission in reference to the rules listed below. No required information with regard to these rules has been submitted. The location for proposed mining was not made clear and a proposed permit boundary has not been specified. Section 2.04.5(1) — General Groundwater Hydrology The required information and maps were not submitted. The current rules require the following: a description of the regional geology in reference to the permit area, a map in accordance with 2.10 providing regional hydrological features and drainage areas, and an adequate characterization of surface and groundwater quality and quantity for this section. Section 2.05.6(1) and (2) — Geology The required information was not submitted. No relevant information was found in the former permit. Section 2.04.7(1) — Groundwater Information The required information was not submitted. No hydrologic studies have been performed. The former mine permit C-1976-014 did not expect to encounter groundwater. Based on the fact that the former pit is currently holding groundwater, the previous expectation does not appear to be correct. Current hydrologic data in compliance with current rules will need to be provided. Section 2.04.7(3) — Alternate Water Supplies The required information was not submitted Section 2.04.7(4) — Hydrology Map The required map was not submitted. Section 2.05.6(3) — Mitigation of the Impacts of Mining Operations — Protection of the Hydrological Balance The required information was not submitted.
