EXHIBIT A—Legal Description <br /> The pit area is approximately 9.9 acres in the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 5, TSS, R49W of <br /> the 6th P.M., Washington County, Colorado. Delineator boundary posts will be set to mark the <br /> pit areas as shown on the map. <br /> EXHIBIT B—Site Description <br /> a)Ve eg tation— <br /> The land is currently rangeland. The grasses that exist at the site are prairie sandreed, <br /> sand bluestem,blue grama, switchgrass, and needleandthread. <br /> Soil Information— <br /> A copy of the soils information provided by the Washington County Natural Resource <br /> Conservation Service is attached. The Natural Resource Conservation Service soil maps <br /> show the soil as being primarily of the Eckley-Orsa gravelly sandy loam. Bankard sandy <br /> loam,Haxtun sandy loam and Manter sandy loam are minor soils at the site. Most of <br /> these soils are in rangeland and still have native grasses. There is a topsoil depth of <br /> approximately 7"over the pit area. <br /> b) Permanent man-made structures <br /> There.are no permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected area. <br /> c) Water resources <br /> The excavation will not occur within a drainage area. There are no water structures on or <br /> adjacent to the site. The project will not have any water requirements for its operation. <br /> Aside from runoff during rainfall,the excavation should not encounter any water during <br /> mining. Rainfall in the area averages about 16 inches per year. The site will generally <br /> not be impacted by water. The water table in the area is approximately 30 feet deep <br /> based upon drilling information of domestic wells in the neighborhood. <br />
