Savage <br />Savage and Savage, Inc. <br />4610 Haystack Drive <br />Windsor, CO 80550 <br /> <br />Re: Carbon Junction Mine (Permit No. C-1992-080) <br /> Second Adequacy letter for Bond Release Application No. 5 (SL-05) <br /> <br /> <br />Hello, Mike <br /> <br />In response to your letter of October 21, 2016, I have the following comments. <br /> <br />Item 1: Defined ditch at the bottom of the North Pit Road <br />Please obtain a statement from the landowner, Mr. Katz (or his representative), stating that he does <br />not have any complaints about the current road construction. <br /> <br />Item 2: Excavation and Swale near the ditch that flows into Sediment Pond #1 <br />I believe that we are talking about the same feature. It is a backhoe excavation near the reclaimed <br />Sediment Pond #1. (The ditch I was referring to was a reclaimed ditch.) If there is any <br />remaining uncertainty about this feature, please see the photograph in my bond release inspection <br />report. Please obtain a statement from the landowner stating that he has no expectation that <br />Oakridge Energy will reclaim this feature. <br /> <br />Item 3: Musk thistle seen around the site, including reclaimed sediment pond #2 <br />Please inform the Division of the end result of the consultation with Mr. Katz. <br /> <br />Item 4: Erosion on the Boundary Road <br />No further response required. <br /> <br />Item 5: Damage by trespassers on Topsoil Stockpile #2 <br />Please obtain a statement from the landowner stating that he has no expectation that Oakridge <br />Energy will address this issue. <br />
