PERMIT#:M-2014-066
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS:MAC
INSPECTION DATE:August 17,2016
OBSERVATIONS
The inspection was conducted by Michael Cunningham of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
(Division). Wes Williams of Nevadaville Encore, LLC was also present for the inspection. The Iron Wm.
Richardson Lode Claims site is located in Gilpin County, approximately two miles southwest of Central City.
The operation is permitted for one acre of disturbance. The commodities of interest are gold and silver and
the approved post-mining land use is pastureland.
The purpose of the inspection was to follow up on corrective actions issued during a previous inspection
conducted on April 26, 2016. During the April 2016 Inspection, the Division found the boundary of the affected
area was not delineated. In addition, the Division found the Operator was not maintaining the required
stormwater controls at the site.
Signs and Markers:
The Division verified the boundary markers have been replaced. The Operator is located in an area where
there is a high potential for the boundary markers to be removed by other people who recreate in the vicinity
of the mine. The Operator should ensure the boundary markers are in place at the beginning of each operating
season.
Storm Water MGT Plan:
The Operator has replaced sections of the silt fencing on the north (down-gradient) side of the waste dump.
The silt fencing was properly anchored and was functioning as intended. The Division did not observe any
signs of material leaving the site or entering nearby drainages.
This concluded the inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Wes Williams
Nevadaville Encore,LLC
1630 Miner Street#248
Idaho Springs,CO 80452
CC: Wally Erickson,DRMS
