• Lee's have no water rights; Lee's have no more rights to the water than Bestway.
• Bestway will not even entertain the idea of tapping into Fox Hill Aquifer because the water is of
"terrible quality(salty)".
• Lee will have to just come to terms with not having a well and Bestway will look into connecting
to our domestic water for outdoor use.
• Bestway shows water at 5-9 feet at all sample sites (none of which are close to my boundary), so
numbers show it's again not Bestway's fault our ground water is gone.
• Getting legal representation would be a mistake on Lee's part. It could end up costing more
than we could ever imagine.
So, after two summers of dealing with no well water and one long winter, I left the meeting with
Brett Hall determined to learn my rights and hold him accountable for his tactic of intimidation and
evasion. I began contacting property owners around me to find out this is nothing new, Brett Hall has
a history of not taking care of the damages his operation has caused. After I contacted the Division of
Mining and Reclamation, there was an immediate presence surrounding my property, much like the
activity when you shake a bee's nest. It's just too bad I have had to go without all this time to figure
out that this company has no integrity and sees nothing of lying to property owners and the use of"big
company" intimidation tactics that has worked for them in the past. When this all began I sat with
Bestway and explained my concerns, and they have not followed through with their promises. I would
be more than happy to meet with whomever I can to make sure this cannot happen again and that
they are held accountable for the negative impact of their actions on surrounding properties. In the
event that I still cannot get resolution I will retain an attorney, and I will be seeking damages as well as
using every outlet I can to expose them for their poor practices. Thank you for taking the time to listen
to my concerns, there are several more issues I have with their operation and how it has impacted our
property and family but the well issue is of utmost importance as our trees are beginning to die and
our property is forever changed. It gives us great solace to know that there is someone out there that
is looking out for property owners who are not equipped to deal with the big company's negative
impact.
Regards,
Jennifer Lee
11750 Weld County Road 11'/<
Cherokeelee75@gmail.com
(720)434-6108
Property Owner
