COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natutat Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
October 7,2016
Michaele Pehlman& Patricia Yerkey
c/o Patricia Yerkey
3232 W. Fontanero St.
Colorado Springs, CO 80904
Re: Amazonite 1-8, 13-15 claims,Permit No.M-2016-055;
Need for State Mine Reclamation Permit
Dear Ms. Pehlman and Ms.Yerkey:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division)has specific Rules and Regulations for Hard
Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining Operations, adopted by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board in
January 2015. These rules are in accordance with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act (Title 34 Article
32). It has come to the attention of the Division that you may be conducting mineral operations at your claims that
requires a mine reclamation permit. The Division has assigned permit ID number M-2016-055 to your claims.
Please reference this Permit ID number on any correspondence you submit to the Division.
As defined in the Act(34-32-103(8)), "mining operation" means the development or extraction of a mineral from
its natural occurrences on affected land. These activities would need an approved mine reclamation permit with
the Division.
As defined in the Act (34-32-110), any person desiring to conduct limited mining operations may apply for the
expedited processing of a mine reclamation permit under two categories: 110(1)—for operations on less than five
acres; or 110(2) — for operations on less than ten acres. Both categories limit material extractions to less than
70,000 tons of mineral or overburden or combination of the two per calendar year.
An approved reclamation permit is required prior to conducting any mineral mining activities on your claim. If
you have any questions regarding whether your activities require a reclamation permit, please contact Wally
Erickson at the Division(303) 866-3567 x 8176.
Sincerely,
mill G
Tim Cazier
Environmental Protection Specialist
CERTIFIED MAIL NO. 7014 2120 0001 7885 6873
Return Receipt Requested
ec: Wally Erickson, DRMS
DRMS file
Amy Titterington, District Minerals Officer, USFS
of
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
