VOLUMEI <br /> A. Exhibit U, Project Description <br /> • Section 5.4 provides a narrative on the mining plan for the Chicago Tunnel. However, <br /> the Division could not find any specific discussion in Section 12 for reclamation of the <br /> Chicago Tunnel/Proper Adit areas. Please describe specific reclamation plans for the <br /> area and how, if appropriate, it differs from the current approved Chicago <br /> Tunnel/Proper Adit reclamation plan. The reclamation plans should include specifics <br /> for the closures of the Chicago Tunnel and the Proper Adit in addition to other <br /> disturbances such as ponds and roads. <br /> RESPONSE. Section 12.4.3 of the Project Description (top of Page 12-12) <br /> describes the reclamation plan for the Chicago Tunnel and Underground <br /> Mining Areas. In addition, the Reclamation Cost Estimate provided in <br /> Appendix I of the Amendment 11 application (also included in Attachment I <br /> of this set of responses) includes a line item for reclamation costs for the <br /> Chicago Tunnel/Proper Adit area. Please let us know if DRMS requires <br /> further clarification. <br /> VOLUME IV <br /> B. Appendix 11, Reclamation Cost Estimate <br /> • At the bottom of page 3 of the cost estimate table of contents are listed tabs 58(Chicago <br /> Tunnel)and 59 (Providence).Neither tab is included in Appendix 11 (the last tab, p. <br /> 109 of 109 is Tab 57 for articulated haul trucks). <br /> RESPONSE: The tabs for Chicago Tunnel and Providence were previously <br /> numbered 54a and 54b respectively. The attached revision to the estimate <br /> includes a revised Table of Contents with Chicago Tunnel only(Tab 54) <br /> Providence has been deleted from the estimate (See Attachment 1). <br /> • Please provide the reclamation cost estimate for the Chicago Tunnel area and the Proper <br /> Adit. <br /> RESPONSE: See response to comment B above. The reclamation cost <br /> estimate for the Chicago Tunnel/Proper Adit was provided in the cost <br /> summary table on (Page 7 of 109). Tab 58 is provided in Attachment 1 of this <br /> response. <br /> • Based on the AM-I I submittal,the Providence mine is not being <br /> incorporated into M-1980-244. Why is there a tab listed in the cost estimate <br /> table of contents for the Providence mine? If it is intended to be included, <br /> please provide it and an explanation as to why it is to be included. <br /> RESPONSE: Providence Mine has been deleted from the estimate (See <br /> Attachment 1).
