§2.05 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING ACTIVITIES --
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATION AND RECLAMATION PLANS.
2.05.6 Mitigation of Surface Coal Mining Operation Impacts. (Cont'd.)
(3) (b) (i) (Cont'd.)
feet wide and 350 feet in length. The drain
consisted of a prefabricated drain core
("Miradrain 9000") and perforated 9" PVC pipe
laid in a trench and backfilled with imported
granular material. The top of the trench was
backfilled with approximately one foot of natural
soil. Flows from the french drain were directed
to East Roatcap Creek through a 4 inch corrugated
plastic pipe laid on the ground surface. After
cessation of operations and final reclamation of
the West Mine, the rock toe buttress and french
drain would remain in place, but the corrugated
drain pipe would be removed and replaced by a
riprapped channel or half culvert.
Revised 08/01/89
Added 01/06/87
Revised 10/01/87
0'12'108 Revised 03/28/88
l~PP2ovED Revised 9/21/01

6 /z9io y 111
