The volume of material that will be moved by bulldozing was determined by calculating the Phase
III cut/fill volumes to regrade the existing fines stockpile (F1).
The dozer will be used for regrading/recontouring and assist with growth media replacement. The
loader and haul trucks will be used for moving material and berm construction.
Calculations were generated following DMRS-provided worksheet formats and numbering system
to include general earthwork consisting of grading to achieve stable and free draining slopes,
ripping of compacted areas and placement of salvaged topsoil. All slopes will be regraded to
achieve slope angle of 3H:1V or less steep. Only the pit highwalls will remain at an overall slope
of 1 H:1 V, and no other slopes are steeper than 3H:1 V.
Surety Bond Calculations
The surety bond calculations for the Phase III stage of Hitch Rack Ranch include details for each
part of the reclamation cost is shown in Appendix L1. The details developed in the surety bond
calculations are provided.

Bond Total
The Bond Total sheet calculates the surety bond amount summarizing the direct costs, adding
23.5% of indirect costs, projects escalation at 1.9%to arrive at an escalated reclamation cost total
as the bonding amount.
Demolition Summary
The demolition summary worksheet (pages 2-3) provides a location number for each planned
structure that corresponds to Figures L-1 and L-2. The description /materials portion of the
worksheet describes the structure, type of material, and the concrete pad thickness. The
