- ro Transit Mix Concrete Co.
The Bond Total also includes the following Indirect Costs:
1. Private Contract Overhead
2. MLRF Administrative Costs
Direct Costs
Demolition and Removal: The determination is based on mining plans and material movement
requirements as well as status of facilities and infrastructure. The Facilities are located in the
South Pit and cover approximately 15 acres.
Facilities demolition consists of buildings/structures and disposal of non-concrete debris at an off-
site landfill (Fountain Landfill). When returning the site to the post-mining land use, all
structures/infrastructure not required for the post-mining land use unless under separate
agreements, will be removed. The facilities will generally be constructed of steel frame although
minimal buildings/structures will be composed of concrete or mix of material. The facilities will be
demolished. Concrete and foundations may be buried onsite, and metal and other demolition
debris will be hauled offsite to an approved disposal facility (shown in Figure L-1). Approximately
1.5 miles of the access road will be paved with asphalt from Hwy115 to the Scale House Site.
This material will be demolished and disposed of off-site.
Concrete pads and foundations demolished on site are planned to be crushed on site by Transit
Mix and hauled to their facility for sale as recycled concrete or road base. Any concrete disposed
on site will be hauled 0.44 miles from the Plant site or 1.48 miles from the Scale House site to the
base of the North Pit highwall (shown in Figure L-1 inset).
The site layout of buildings/structures are presented in Figure L-1 Plant Site Area and Figure L-2
Scale House Area and numbered to correlate to the Demolition Summary sheet.
Backfilling and Grading: The following is a list of equipment anticipated to be used:
1. Dozer (574 Hp: Equivalent to Caterpillar D10)
2. Loader (801 Hp: Equivalent to Caterpillar 992)
3. Haul Truck (1050 Hp: Equivalent to Caterpillar 777)
4. Motor Grader (297 Hp: Equivalent to Caterpillar 16M
5. Water Truck (1050 Hp: Equivalent to 10,000 Gallon)
The volumes of material that will be Load/Haul/Dump were determined by creating a boundary
around the areas disturbed to calculate the square feet of disturbance. Boundaries were created
around the topsoil and fines stockpiles, site access road, facilities area, and the area affected by
mining (highwalls and pit floor). To determine the affected mining area a ratio of highwall to pit
floor was calculated as all highwall slopes will not have subsoil and topsoil respread. The total
reclamation area at the end of Phase III is 175.82 acres. Table L-1 illustrates the areas
associated with Phase III total disturbance.
Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry Permit Application M-2016-010
September 26, 2016 L-3
