ZUber <br />F'twironmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Alining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />SEP <br />p1�S10N OF�Np SEN N <br />KININ <br />Re: Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-1981-014), "I'echnical Revision No. 47 (TR -47), Permit Area Reduction (HC <br />#67461) <br />Dear Mr. Luber: <br />"Thank you for your correspondence dated September 2, 2016 (received by our office on September 7, 2016) <br />regarding the above referenced technical revision. <br />Lased on the documentation provided, it is our opinion that a finding of no historic properties affected 136 CI -R <br />800.4(d)(I)J is appropriate for the proposed action. <br />The Section 106 consultation process does involve other consulting parties such local governments and Tribes <br />which as stipulated in 36 CFR 800.3 are required to be notified of the undertaking. Additional informadon <br />provided by these or other consulting parties may cause our office to re-evaluate our comments and <br />recommendations. <br />Should unidentified archaeological resources be discovered in the course of the project, work must be <br />interrupted until the resources have been evaluated in terms of the National Register of Historic Places elilribility <br />criteria (36 CF'R 60.4) in consultation with our office. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
