The revision was called complete on 19 September
2016.
Minor Revision 169 included revised pages and a new map (Map 160) related to the proposed geotechnical
investigations for the future B -Seam Dewatering Area #2.
The Division has reviewed the MR -169 submittal and has the following adequacy questions.
Rule 4.05.5 - Sediment Control Measures
Sediment control of surface runoff
The disturbed area is requested to be a total of 1 acre located in the outlined area on the
submitted Map 160. During the geotechnical investigation and the reclamation activities
following the investigation, how will runoff and sediment control be managed at the
proposed site?
Reclamation Cost Estimate
2. The Reclamation Cost Estimate for MR 169 was calculated using the information given on the
map submitted with the revision application. The 5 acres of reseeding is a conservative
estimate, given the proposed disturbance of 1 acre and the assumption that equipment will
disturb a surface area larger than the footprint of the geotechnical test pits.
This concludes the Division's adequacy review of Minor Revision 169 for the Deserado Mine.
