Box 670 <br />Hayden, CO 81639 <br />September 23, 2016 <br />RE: Yoast Mine; Seneca Property, LLC <br />Second Quarter 2015 Sediment Pond Inspection Report <br />Permit C-1994-082 <br />Dear Mr. Watterson: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (CDRMS) received Seneca Property, LLC's <br />second quarter 2016 sediment pond inspection report on July 27, 2016 for the Yoast Mine. The Division <br />finds the above reference report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulation. <br />4.05.9(17) — Examined at least quarterly by a qualified person designated by the operator, for <br />appearance of structural weakness and other hazardous conditions. <br />4.05.9(17) — A copy of the report shall be submitted to the Division on a quarterly basis. <br />The following sediment ponds were inspected on the respective dates: <br />Pond 010: 5/3/2016, Pond 10 spillway culvert is showing evidence of rust. Outflow was measured at 208 <br />gpm at the time of the inspection. <br />Pond 011: 5/3/2016. No problems were noted with this pond. Outflow was measured at 109 gpm at the <br />time of the inspection. <br />Stock Tank 011A: 5/3/2016. No problems were noted with this stock tank. The pond was not <br />discharging. <br />Pond 012: 5/3/2016. Erosion was noted behind and underneath the flume. Outlflow was 99 gpm. <br />Stock Tank 012A: 5/3/2016, no comments were included for this stock tank. The division has observed <br />trickle discharge from the primary spillway outfall when the water level is well below the discharge <br />elevation. <br />Pond 013: 5/3/2016. Outfall was 14 gpm. <br />Pond 014: 5/3/2016. No problems were noted on the report with Pond 014.Outfall was 57 gpm. <br />ST -1: 9/22/2015, no problems were noted with this stock tank.
