`F
Transit Mix Concrete Co.
sample was analyzed for 31 constituents. TestAmerica Laboratory analyzed all constituents
except E. Coli, which was analyzed for by Colorado Analytical Laboratory. The analyte list
includes segment 14d stream standard constituents along with other general chemistry
constituents. In addition, dissolved oxygen, pH, specific conductance, and temperature were
measured in the field during each site visit. Table G-2 compares the results of the sample
analysis and field measurements to the segment 14d stream standards.
Sampling results indicate the water type at Little Turkey Creek is a calcium bicarbonate water.
Hardness values were 66 milligrams per liter (mg/1) CaCO3 on June 16, 2015, 84 mg/I CaCO3 on
August 26, 2015, 100 mg/I CaCO3 on November 16, 2015, and 71 mg/I CaCO3 on April 12, 2016.
One exceedance of E. Coli occurred on June 16, 2015 with a result of 403 most probable
number/100 milliliters(mpn/100ml). The segment 14d standard for E. Coli is 126/100ml. All other
E. Coli results were below the 126/100ml standard.
Field measured pH was 5.99 on November 16, 2015 and 6.44 on April 12, 2016. The stream
standard for pH is 6.5-9.0. During the November 16, 2015 sampling event, the field meter was
checked against a pH standard of 7.00 to confirm the 5.99 reading was not an error, with the
meter reading the standard at 7.00. The laboratory pH value was 8.07 on November 16, 2015
and 7.95 on April 12, 2016, both within the 6.5-9.0 limit. All other constituents were within the
segment 14d standard limits.
Hitch Rack Ranch Quarry Permit Application M-2016-010
September 15, 2016 G-8
