The Bear Mine permit was revoked on 6/6/2013. <br />The weather was clear, fine and dry. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The sediment pond was dry. <br />The treatment pond was holding water well above the level of the river, as usual. <br />Water was continuing to seep from the toe of the slide area, following several flow paths. <br />The North Fork of the Gunnison River was flowing at around 230 cfs, according to the USGS gaging <br />station at Somerset, which is broadly in line with the seasonal average. <br /> <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The contract for the reclamation project was awarded to McCollom’s Excavating, out of Hotchkiss. It is <br />expected that work will begin on October 1st and that the contractors will be on site for most of the month.
