roads are used primarily during the dry weather months mostly by an occasional <br />pickup truck, very little surfacing is required. When required, surface materials <br />are in accordance with Section 3.7.2.4. <br />3.7.3.5 Maintenance <br />Access roads are maintained regularly to ensure their integrity and safety. <br />Ditches are cleaned as needed and road surfaces are graded to fill potholes. <br />3.7.3.6 Restoration <br />Restoration of access roads is similar to haul road restoration (refer to Section <br />3.7.2.6). <br />Is 3.7.4 Light -Use Roads <br />Light -use roads are needed to provide access to remote and infrequently used <br />areas of the mine permit area, including development drill sites, environmental <br />monitoring sites, survey points and other areas where access is required only on <br />a limited basis. Light -use roads are used mainly by pickup trucks or similar <br />light vehicular traffic. occasionally there is use by heavy equipment such as a <br />drill rig or water truck in dry weather months. <br />3.7.4.1 Location. Design and Construction <br />Most light -use roads at the Trapper Mine existed prior to any mining activities <br />in the area. They were established by local ranchers, hunters, representatives <br />of the government and others who required access to various parts of the proposed <br />mine permit area.
