The map on the right shows the 2:1 highwall <br /> disturbance area with regards to the permitted boundary.Aside from the highwall (the steepest area of the mine) the other disturbances could be ripped and <br /> seeded to a 3:1 slope to create a smooth basin, allowing for water to drain through the drainage/culvert at its base and connect with the pre-existing drainage to <br /> the northwest. It should be noted that the pre-existing drainage might need to be scraped at its confluence with the proposed drainage because it is locally 2-4 <br /> feet higher than the base of the current disturbed area. <br />
