Weed management will continue to occur as needed, to ensure the stability and success of the reclamation process. Revegetation Plan Once mining is concluded in the Neilson Pit, the upper reaches of the pit will be blasted and graded to a stable slope. The maximum slope that will be left will be a 2:1 with gentler slopes (4:1) occurring at the western portion of the mined area. After rough grading of the surface is complete, broadcast seeding will take place. Seeding will be at a rate of 10 pounds of per live seed per acre with a post-mining goal of fifty stems per acre. The reclamation seed mixture used contains sufficient diversity for ecological stability.
