RE: Arkins Park Quarries; DRMS File NO. M-1985-212; Comments and response letter.
1. Item No. 1 on Page 1 of the Application Form indicates the Applicant/Operator name to be used
for the permit is'Neil C.Sprague". The current Applicant/Operator name is'Arkins Park Stone
Corporation'. The name of the Permittee may only be changed through a Succession of
Operators revision,which is a separate permitting action. Please revise Item No. 1 to reflect the
current Permittee for Arkins Park Quarries.
Response: Changed the Applicant/Operator name to read"Arkin Park Stone Corporation.
2. Item No. 2 on Page 1 of the Application Form lists the name of the Operation as 'Arkins Park
Quarries'. Please confirm the Applicant intends to change the name of the operation.
Response: The applicant does not intend to change the name of the operation;the operation
name has been changed to read Arkins Park Quarries, the current name of the mine.
3. The Applicant initialed Item No. 10 on Page 6 of the Application Form indicating the Permittee is
a joint venture/partnership. Therefore,the signing representative must provide a power of
attorney demonstrating they are authorized to sign the applicable portions of the Applicant
Form.
Response: The applicant does not intend to change to a joint venture/partnership. No. 10 on
page 6 is now blank.
4. The Applicant/Operator name is listed as 'Arkins Park Stone'on Page 8 of the Application Form.
The Applicant/Operator name must be listed exactly as it is registered with the Colorado
Secretary of State:Arkins Park Stone Corporation. Please revise the Applicant/Operator name in
both places on Page 8 of the Application Form.
Response: Changed the Applicant/Operator name to be exactly as it is registered with the
Colorado Secretary of State:Arkin Park Stone Corporation.
5. Pursuant to Rule 1.6.2(1)(b),the Applicant is to provide a signed affidavit that the required
public notice has been posted at the location of the mine site. Please complete and return the
enclosed affidavit certifying the public notice has been posted at the mine site.
Response: Included with the application is an original signed notice that has been posted at
the two entrances to the quarry.Also included is a photo of the posted notice.
