To. DRMS Den Page 6 of 10 2016-08-31 16-105.58(GMT) 13032008630 From Greg Lewicki
ANIONIC EMULSION FLOCCULANT
DESCRIPTION PREPARATION S FEEDING
HYPERFLOCP AE 852 is a medium charge, Solutions of HYPERFLOCP AE 852 are
very high molecular weight anionic prepared by adding the neat polymer to water
polyacrylamide flocculant supplied as a low below 120*F(50°C)either through an automatic
viscosity emulsion. It is effective over the pH polymer feed unit or into the vortex of a stirred
range of 5-12. tank of water to prepare a solution of 1%
concentration(as is). Aging for 30-60 minutes
TYPICAL PROPERTIES is recommended, followed by in-line dilution to
Appearance Opaque Liquid 0.1%or less. Avoid excessive mixing as this
Specific Gravity at 25°C 1.04 t 0.02 can lead to polymer degradation. Use of gear
Viscosity as supplied at 25°C 500-1500 cps or positive displacement pumps is
Viscosity*(1%Solution) 1000-1400 cps recommended.
pH of 1.0%Solution at 25'C 7.0 t 1.0
Freeze Point 5°F(A6-0) STORAGE & HANDLING
Flash Point >200°F(93°C) HYPERFLOCP AE 852 should be stored in a
Shelf Life 6 Months heated building, 5°-35°C(40° -95°F). If
frozen, the product should be allowed to thaw
•esela LVF,30``°at 26•C In deianized waterrcompletely and agitated prior to use. Storage in
APPLICATIONS stainless steel, plastic or epoxy lined steel is
HYPERFLOCPAE 852 is used in a broad range recommended. Mild steel, iron, aluminum or
of solid-liquid separation processes in water copper are to be avoided in both storage and
and waste treatment and mineral processing feed equipment. Bulk material should be mixed
applications for settling, thickening and every 1 -2 days using a low shear recirculating
dewatering. It can be used alone or in pump, bottom to top. Mixers can be used In
conjunction with alum or ferric salts, drums or liqui-bins if necessary. Spills should
polyaluminum chloride, polyamines and be wiped up with an absorbent material and
polyDADMACs. then washed down with a bleach solution.
Depending on the application, the following Toxicity is low, but normal precautionary
dosage levels are recommended: clothing should be wom when handling this
material. For additional Information, see
Water&Waste Treatment: relevant Material Safety Data Sheet,
Settling/Clarification 0.5 to 20 ppm
Thickening/Dewatering 1.0 to 20 lbs/ton SHIPPING
HYPERFLOCP AE 852 is shipped in 55 gallon
Minerals Processing: non-retumable steel drums at 450 pounds net,
Settling/Thickening 0.01 to 0.2 lbsiton in non-retumable liqui-bins at 2300 pounds net;
Dewatering 0.1 to 2 IbsAon or in bulk.
03/02
Charlie Schulte
Tons Per Hour
