Miranda Blomquist of Seneca Property, LLC
accompanied the inspection. The weather was clear and dry. The mine is a reclaimed surface mine. No mine
buildings remain on the permit area. Long term structures are limited to permanent drainages, ponds, stock tanks,
permanent roads and associated culverts, and powerlines.
FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18:
Four Sandhill crane were observed along YPM6-1. Hummingbirds were also active as we were inspecting
YPM6-1.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9:
Pond 10 was discharging low flow, approx. 0.01 on the staff gauge on the flume. SP, LLC personnel said
that she had previously cleaned sediment and algae out of the flume. Some algae is re-establishing. Flow through
the flume is unimpeded. Canada thistles have become established at the flume. SP, LLC needs to control this
infestation. There was a small seep into the south side of the riser. Vegetation at the riser made it difficult to
determine if this is a designed weep hole or if there is a weak spot in the riser. The operator needs to determine if
this seep is part of the design and repair the riser if it is not. The operator needs to clean vegetation out of the
riser.

Pond 11A was inspected. This pond was holding a cloudy pool of water but was not discharging. Water level was
approx. 8” below the discharge level.

Stock Tank No. 1 was holding a muddy pool of water several feet below the spillway.

Annand draw was flowing well. No problems were apparent with this drainage.
