This submittal corrects the 2014 and 2015 Annual Reclamation Reports by modifying the following:
• 2014 Report
o Adds 8.2 acres of disturbed land to correctly show a Cumulative Total of 511.04.
o Removes 109.87 acres from the acreage in the long-term mining or reclamation facilities.
2015 Report
o Modifies totals to reflect the updates above.
o Corrected total acres disturbed to reflect actual as -built acreages for Pads E6-5 through E6-9 (see Table I).
o Removes 24.2 acres that have been Phase III released from the cumulative totals and the greater than 10
year's totals.
In addition, the answers to the comments on the February 29, 2016 CDRMS letter are below in red.
• As previously discussed, please resubmit the 2015 ARR with a revised value for acres disturbed and a
revised version of Table I when the actual disturbance at pads 1-4 has been surveyed. This submittal
reflects the revised values for acres disturbed on the 2015 ARR and includes a revised Table I.
• When the form is re -submitted, please include copies of the seed invoices. This submittal includes copies of the
seed invoices.
• When the form is re -submitted, please also address an apparent contradiction, (which is likely due to the
complicated layout of the form itself): The Cumulative Total value for Acres disturbed is reported as the
same as that for the Entire Life of Mine (515.43). These two values would be the same if no disturbed
land had received Phase III bond release — that is not true for the West Elk Mine, where 24.2 acres has
been Phase III released. This contradiction has been corrected.
• In the attached Table II the fourth column is labelled as "2015 Photo Reclamation Report Page
Number". What does this refer to? This column indicates what page in our 2015 Photo Reclamation
Report the particular pad is documented. It has been removed to avoid confusion.
