August 15, 2016 Colorado Department of Natural Resources Division of Mining, Reclamation and Safety 1313 Sherman St., Room 215 Denver, CO 80203 Re: Kinross Gold USA—Golden Wonder project— NO[ Private Lands Sirs, Please find enclosed paper copies of our NOI for exploration drilling on the Golden Wonder project on private land. The project is located immediately southeast of Lake City, Colorado. The proposed work is immediately peripheral to the currently active Golden Wonder mine. Kinross Gold has an option agreement with LKA Gold to explore the property and access to the claim block is granted through a right of way controlled by LKA. I have attached signed copies of the NO1 Form 1 and Form 2 along with copies of each and a CD- ROM with digital copies of both files. I have also included a check for$86 to cover the NOI submittal fee. All of the prospecting proposed under this NOI will occur on private lands (Golden Mammoth, Golden Wonder and Gold Carbonate patented claims) owned by LKA Gold and under option to Kinross Gold. None of the data is considered proprietary. UTM coordinates on the maps are in NAD 83 projection. The portion of the project being proposed on federal BLM lands is currently being permitted through the BLM Gunnison field office as a Plan of Operations (POO) and a separate NOI was submitted to cover work proposed on BLM managed lands. This NOI covers prospecting on private lands only. Kinross is in the process of establishing a Colorado statewide performance bond which will be used to cover reclamation bonding for disturbance proposed under this NOL Please let me know if you have any additional questions/concerns regarding the NO1 submittal.
