Spruce <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Fruita Loadout (Permit No. C-2010-088) <br /> Permit Renewal Application No. 1 (RN-1) <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Mesa County Commissioners: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on August 5, 2016, an <br />application to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at Fruita Loadout was <br />considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the <br />Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />CAM-Colorado, LLC proposes to continue loadout coal mining and/or reclamation operations on <br />land located approximately 3 miles Northwest of Fruita. The permit area is further described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Township 1 North, Range 3 West <br /> Section 2: Portions of the SW/4, W/2SW/4SE/4 <br /> Section 3: Portions of the SE/4 <br /> Section 10: Portions of the N/2NE/4 <br /> Section 11: Portions of the N/2NW/4, W/2NW/4NE/4. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Mack. <br /> <br />CAM-Colorado, LLC is apply for the renewal of a valid existing permit to conduct mining in <br />Colorado for its Fruita Loadout, mining permit No. C-2010-088. This renewal application does not <br />propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed surface <br />disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area.
