prompted a conversation with Jet West regarding the size and type of perforation guns to be <br /> used in the well. The smaller and more expensive 2.75 inch disposable guns were chosen to <br /> ensure that no tools would become stuck in the hole. Doug Noble, a Himes employee, was <br /> contacted to run a video log to determine the current condition of the hole. During this time, <br /> the pit was lined to contain produced fluid with high TDS values until it could be transported to <br /> the NS waste pond. The video log was run to 605 feet where transducer cable was <br /> encountered and the camera could go no deeper. Based on the video results Himes would <br /> push all remaining material in hole to 1,832.0 feet GL and pump cement. With the video log <br /> complete and out of the hole, Himes ran in with a 3.875 inch bit and tagged hard at 1,108 feet <br /> GL in the dogleg and could go no deeper. The 3.875 inch bit was tripped out of the hole. <br /> On July 8, 2016 Himes ran in the hole with a 3.25 inch three bladed mill bit and tagged at <br /> 1,832.0 feet GL. It appears that fishing operations allowed the gravel to fall down hole past <br /> 1,832.0 feet GL. At this time Himes begin pumping cement, 120 gallons (10 sacks) of cement <br /> was mixed and pumped at 1,820 feet GL. The cement was displaced with approximately 160 <br /> gallons of water. Himes pulled up to 1,320 feet GL and cleaned their equipment. <br /> On July 9, Himes ran in the hole open ended and tagged cement at 1,788 feet GL, it was <br /> determined that there was 20 feet of green cement between 1,768 and 1,788 feet GL. A <br /> second batch of cement consisting of 75 gallons (6 sacks) was pumped at 1,760 feet GL and <br /> displaced with 165 gallons of water. <br /> On July 10, 2016 Himes ran in the hole open ended and tagged top of hard cement at 1,686 feet <br /> GL. The well was circulated using the Lister pump at 1,655 and 1,635 feet GL, then airlifted at <br /> 1,640 feet GL. Small pieces of transducer cable and bailer were brought to surface and noted at <br /> the blooie discharge, the hole was blown dry. It was then determined that the approximate top <br /> of green cement was at 1,651.5 feet GL. One 5 gallon bucket of coated bentonite pellets was <br /> poured from surface and washed down as the hole was filled with water. Jet West rigged up <br /> and ran into the hole with the first of five perforation guns and tagged bentonite at 1,640.5 feet <br /> GL. Jet West then perforated the hole from 1,640 to 1,600 feet GL. Perforations were 0.41 inch <br /> diameter with three perforations per foot, at 120 degree phasing, for a total of 120 <br /> perforations. Two 10 foot guns, one 8 foot gun, and two 6 foot guns were used for a total of <br /> five guns. Upon completing the perforations, Jet West verified hole bottom at 1,640.5 feet GL, <br /> rigged down and left location at 14:45 hours. Himes tripped in the hole open ended and air <br /> lifted at 1,620 feet GL to clean the perforations and the hole. The hole was unloaded and <br /> allowed to recharge three times while cleaning. <br /> On July 11, 2016 Himes unloaded the hole to develop the well. A NS employee was on location <br /> to collect a water sample from the well, at 10:35 hours the 5 bottle sample set was collected, <br /> thus concluding conversion operations on the BG-8 (DS-4)(10H-C) groundwater monitoring well. <br /> All remaining water in the pit was transported by D&P to the NS waste water pond, the pit and <br /> liner were buried and the pad was interim reclaimed by Moody Construction on July 18, 2016. <br /> Daub&Associates, Inc.
