Technical Memorandum
Phase 2 Sediment Pond Jurisdictional Dam Evaluation ■
NewFields Job No.475.0106.006
August 8,2016
To provide perspective and to verify the evaluation presented herein, NewFields visually
inspected the downstream side of the emergency spillway and Phase 2 Sediment Pond
embankment. The Photo below clearly depicts a dam structure that is 6.5 feet above the
natural ground and is consistent with dam height values developed from comparing as-built
and native topographic data sets for the structure.
DOWNSTREAM OF EMERGENCY SPILLWAY
Emergency Spillway
Approximately 6.5'
 Inferred Natural
' Groand
Mm
Following the guidelines presented in Rule 4.2.5.2, it is clear that the Phase 2 Sediment Pond
associated with Squaw Gulch VLF is not a Jurisdictional Dam.
Page 5
