<br />PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Coors Energy Company (CEC) PO Box 467,
<br />Golden, CO 80402, is the owner and
<br />operator of the Keenesburg Mine regulated
<br />under Colorado Division of Reclamation,
<br />Mining and Safety (DRMS) Permit No. C-
<br />1981-028. The permit area is located 7 miles
<br />north of Keenesburg, CO and is accessed by
<br />Weld County Road 59. CEC has filed an
<br />application for a complete Phase III bond
<br />release with the DRMS that includes that
<br />portion of the Keenesburg Mine with a
<br />designated post -mining land use of
<br />Industrial/ Commercial. The release area
<br />includes the shop and facilities buildings and
<br />associated parking areas, and the main
<br />access road, comprising a total of 48.0 acres.
<br />Currently a corporate surety bond is in place
<br />in the amount of $1,971,874; the amount
<br />requested for release $443,219.46. The
<br />release area is located in portions of Sections
<br />25, 35 and 36, Township 3N, Range 64W,
<br />and Sections 2 and 11, Township 2N, Range
<br />64W Sixth Principal Meridian, Weld
<br />County, Colorado. A copy of the bond
<br />release application is available for public
<br />review at the Weld County Clerk and
<br />Recorder's Office (1402 N 17th Ave,
<br />Greeley, CO 80631), the Keenesburg Town
<br />Hall, and at the DRMS (1313 Sherman St,
<br />Room 215, Denver, CO 80203). In
<br />accordance with Rule 3.03.2(3) any person
<br />with a valid legal interest which might be
<br />adversely affected by release of the bond, or
<br />any federal, state, or local governmental
<br />agency with jurisdiction over regulated
<br />activities at the mine shall have the right to
<br />file written objections to or comments upon
<br />the requested release and/or file a request for
<br />an informal conference with the DRMS
<br />within thirty (30) days of the last publication
<br />of this notice, or within thirty (30) days of
<br />the completed bond release inspection to be
<br />conducted by the DRMS whichever is later.
<br />All comments, objections, and requests must
<br />be submitted in writing to the DRMS at the
<br />above address.
