Please see DRMS <br /> comments in italics below with Newmont's response to comments in bold. <br /> Comment 1: Pipe Route and Figure 1. The Text and Figure 9 discuss the temporary fresh <br /> water source being the Altman Pump Station and a light blue line cite the Bull Hill Line and <br /> Pipeline E are involved in the conveyance of fresh water from the Altman Pump Station. The <br /> Division needs to clarify the portion of the proposed system which is both temporary and not <br /> yet constructed. Mr. Erik Munroe was in the DRMS office this afternoon and was able to help <br /> clarify what is temporary. Based on the discussion with Mr. Munroe, the Division <br /> understands that the Light blue line shown in Figure 2 is the extent of the proposed <br /> temporary fresh water pipe to be constructed. Please confirm the light blue line on Figure <br /> represents the extent of the proposed temporary pipeline. <br /> Response 1: DRMS is correct in that the light blue line on Figure 2 depicts the 5,115 ft <br /> of new short term pipe. Please see Figure 3 below for clarification. <br /> Comment 2: Figure 2. There is a thick black line and a dark blue line on Figure 2. Please <br /> indicate what these lines represent(see image on page 2). <br /> Response 2: The thick black line is insignificant per Figure 2. It was part of the <br /> process to develop the short term plan and is not an existing or planned line. The <br /> dark blue line on Figure 2 is the existing fresh water line that carries fresh water from <br />
