The review has found that the application is complete <br /> and proposes actions that are protective of human health and the environment; however,there are few <br /> specifics that require clarification prior to final approval of the application. <br /> The numbers proceeding CDPHE's comments correspond to the section number in the Voluntary <br /> Cleanup Application where the specifics of each remedial alternative is detailed. <br /> 9.6 Verification Monitoring <br /> 9.6.1 Improve Conveyance of Adit Discharge Around the Fine-Grained Tailings <br /> Given the high probability of iron hydroxide build up on the channel lining materials,who will <br /> be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the conveyance and what is the Operation and <br /> Maintenance(O&M)funding plan for the long term life of the project? Will all O&M activities <br /> be conducted by county personnel? Also,will there be a fund created to address O&M <br /> requirements for the foreseeable future? <br /> The VCUP application states that the measured adit discharge values vary from 5 to 76 gpm, <br /> what will the design flow be for the adit discharge channel? Will there be additional flow <br /> measurements over the course of the year to assist in channel design?
