Danny Kipp and Bob Moline were
present during the inspection. Skies were clear, and temperatures reached the low 70 degrees F. Recent rains; .33
inches this week and 1.28 in the previous week, had left water in the ponds and pit. The ground however, was
mostly dry.

Scraping operations were taking place. Topsand piles, ponds, Pit B and revegetation areas were observed.
Compost had been stockpiled to be readily on hand when needed.
MAINTENANCE ITEMS
July 2016
1. Dugout pond appears overgrown with cattails. The operator indicated that the pond would be
cleared during winter freeze.

INSPECTION:
SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02
o The mine site identification sign inside the entrance to the facilities from County Road 59 was intact,
displaying all required information: mine name, operator name, address, phone number and DRMS
permit number and contact information.
o Topsand stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs. Boundary markers were present.

ROADS Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3), 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4), 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) and (6)
4.03.2(5) and (6).
o Roads in and around the facilities were in good condition and appeared to have properly drained
recent precipitation. There were a couple of rutted areas.
o Some fugitive dust was being generated by the scraper traveling back and forth between the spoil
stockpile and area of deposition. Roads are watered two or three times a day.
