Since I had
heard nothing concerning the application, I believed that you might have just accepted it with no problems. My
first indication was getting a call from Mr_ Barker last week asking if I had assembled responses. I had to share
with him that 1 had heard nothing, at which time he sent me a copy of your correspondence from back in June.
It would have been much easier on all of us if you would have just copied me.
I notice that the bulk of your comments have to do with the BLM administered remnant parcels. The parcels
represent a miniscule percentage of the lands within the prospecting area and the applicant currently has no
interest in disturbing them. They represent only a nuisance for the BLM people that have to manage them and to
the private land owners that have them next door. Once again, a simple call to either me or the applicant could
have saved a great deal of time for both of us.
On the BLM side, I spoke with Stephanie Carter by phone yesterday and let her know the applicant's intent was
to work only on his private land, so there will be no BLM involvement. I am copying her on this
correspondence, (minus the confidential list of patented mining claims), for her records, and she is always
welcome to contact me directly if she has any questions.
I have attached my responses to your comments along with an updated exploration area map. I will give you a
call in a couple of days so we can clear up any additional questions a little more rapidly. The summer season is
quickly coming to an end and it would be good to get this wrapped up so the prospector can at least have a
couple months to work before it starts snowing again. We are now past the seven month mark of trying to get a
very simple NOI in place.
Sincerely,
BRAUN ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
C. A. Braun, P.E.
enc.
cc
L.
