PROCEDURES AND SUMMARY OF THE REVIEW PROCESS Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) applied for partial bond release under the Colorado Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Act following reclamation of the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The mine is located in Delta County, in all or portions of the following: Township 13 South, Range 92 West of the 6th P.M. The total approved disturbed acreage of the Bowie No. 2 Mine is 410.03 acres and the total approved affected area is 7,051.01 acres. The Bond Release Application No. 1 (SL-01) represents the first bond release application processed by the Division. Submittal of Bond Release Application and Completeness Determination by the Division The Division received BRL’s bond release application SL-01 on June 17, 2015. The initial SL- 01 application included 23 drill sites and nine roads representing 17.1 acres eligible for Phase I bond release. Phase I bond release was also requested for 4.0 acres of backfilled and regraded lands associated with the Pitkin Mesa Pipeline disturbance corridor and 7.4 acres on Gob Pile #1
