Higley, (719) 651-7930 MINING AND SAFETY <br />Sections 5 Et 8, Twp 9 South, Rng 77 West, 6th P.M., Park County <br />CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL <br />® Exposure of ground water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The applicant has indicated plans to use other water for the following purposes at the permit site: ❑ <br />evaporation, ® other: nonconsumptive in -stream mining use. <br />® If stormwater runoff is intercepted by this operation and is not diverted or captured in priority, it must <br />be released to the stream system within 72 hours; otherwise the operator will need to make <br />replacements for evaporation. <br />COMMENTS: The subject application is for a surface mining operation on 9.9 permitted acres located a few <br />miles east of Alma, Colorado. The primary commodity to be mined at the site is gold (Au). The site is <br />proposed to be reclaimed to its current use of forestry upon completion of this mining operation. <br />No water is proposed to be consumed by the mining operation. Water will only be used within the stream <br />channel. Water will flow through pans, sluices, and small suction dredges in Beaver Creek. No ore will be <br />processed on site. <br />Based on the above, this office has no objection to the subject application.
