V. COLORADO
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Inter Office Memorandum
To: Brock Bowles, DRMS
From: Robin Reilley, GISP, DRMS
Date: 18 July 2016
RE: New Horizon C1981008
Technical Revision, TR73
I was requested to assess the above referenced technical revision for adequacy of
additional culverts and their design capacity s per Rule 4.03. My review of this
technical revision follows. Adequacy review questions are numbered.
It appears that culverts C180 and C179 are added new culverts and that culvert
C101 was removed.
As per rule 4.03, culverts shall safely pass the 10 year 24 hour event and be placed in a
manner to promote conveyance of design flow. Design capacity and culvert placement
have been met as per Rule 4.03. I have no adequacy questions regarding the above
mentioned Rule.
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
John W.
