4.0 EXHIBIT C—PRE-MINING AND MINING PLAN MAPS OF AFFECTED <br /> LANDS <br /> Note: Stage 1 mining began at Morton Lakes in 2015 as did construction of the sand and <br /> gravel processing plant and related facilities. <br /> 4.1 Immediately Adjacent Land Owners of Record <br /> Property ownership information of immediately adjacent surface landowners of record is <br /> shown on site map Exhibit C-2. <br /> 4.2 Surface Features <br /> The primary surface water features within the proposed mine area is the South Platte River, <br /> Big Dry Creek and the Lupton Bottom and Lupton Meadows Ditch. Minimum mining setbacks <br /> from the ditches will be 50 feet. <br /> A portion of the permit area is located within the 100-year floodplain of the South Platte <br /> River. <br /> There are a number of structures located within 200 feet of the proposed mining stages <br /> including the following: <br /> • A house and several out buildings (Stewart Residence) located southwest of mining Stage <br /> 7. <br /> • A house and several out buildings (Schroeder Residence) located west of mining Stage 7 <br /> • Anadarko (Kerr-McGee) gas wells, associated tank batteries and gas lines located west of <br /> mining Stage 2 and in the northwest corner of Stage 6. See Map Exhibit C-1. <br /> • Anadarko (Kerr-McGee) gas wells, associated tank batteries and gas lines located <br /> adjacent to the east boundary of Stage 5. See Map Exhibit C-1. <br /> • Excel owns a high voltage power line that crosses the property east-west. <br /> • United Power owns a three-phase power line that is located along the east property line of <br /> Morton Lakes. Presently, it is unclear if there is any future need for this line. If it is <br /> determined to be of no further use the line will be removed. If the line is in service during <br /> mining,the Applicant will seek authorization from United Power to relocate the line. <br /> • The Brighton Ditch is located south of mining Stages 1, 2 and 5. <br /> 1 <br />
