Hilgers
Santiago Mining CO., LLC
6499 Plateau Dr.
Englewood, CO 80111
RE: Notice of Intent to Conduct Prospecting Application; Santiago Mine; File No. P-2016-
014; Notice of Deficiencies
Dear Mr. Hilgers,
On June 10, 2016, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety(Division) received the
Notice of Intent (NOI) to Conduct Prospecting Application for the Santiago Mine, File No. P-
2016-014. The Application was filed for review on July 11, 2016. Our review indicates the NOI
application contains deficiencies as defined by Rule 5.1.3 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations
of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining
Operations. The Division requires the information described below before we can approve the
NOI application.
1. The Application states the proposed drilling program will be conducted on private property.
However, the Applicant has listed two claims under the Prospecting on Bureau of land
Management Land and U.S. Forest Service Land section of the Application. Please clarify if
the claims on which the proposed drilling operation will occur are patented.
2. Please identify the mineral(s) being investigated.
3. Please specify the amount of material to be extracted, moved or proposed to be moved.
4. The Applicant has stated approximately 0.25 acres will be disturbed. The drill pad account
for 0.04 acres of disturbance. Please describe the nature of the disturbance associated with
the other 0.21 acres which is proposed to be disturbed.
5. The Applicant has indicated the drill hole diameter will have a standard AQ drill core
diameter. Please verify this is a diameter of 44.5mm or 1.8in.
6. Page 4 of the Application states the depth of the drill hole will be 380'. However, Page 6 of
the Application states the depth of the drill hole will be 360'. Please clarify this discrepancy.
of cad,,
1313 Sherman Street,Room 215, Denver,CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us *' -
John W.
