Chevron
Chevron North Clear Creek Construction Materials Mine —M 2006-039
July 8, 2016
ITEM 3 — Per Rule 3.1.5 (9) there are occasions when road and drainage maintenance requires removal of
accumulated sediment to maintain conditions. Chevron would propose to use the mine operation area beside
the gravel piles for stockpiling and management of this material per Rule 3.1.5 (9)(a). Imported inert material
would include earth, sand, gravel, rock, concrete which has been in a hardened state for at least sixty days,
masonry, asphalt paving fragments, and other inert solids as described more fully in Rule 1.1 (20). Per Rule
3.1.5 (9)(b) the imported inert material may accumulate in estimated volumes of 20 to 30 yards per year on
average. This material will commonly be worked in as supplemental material with other quarried gravel
material being removed and exported as road base and is not expected to accumulate to any significant
quantities over the life of the mine. In some cases, if the material is suitable for top soil it may be set apart with
the top soil stock pile to be placed in future mine reclamation. Placement of such inert imported product will be
done in accordance with proper backfill placement procedures as required during reclamation. Chevron has
provided a signed notice attached of this activity per Rule 3.1.5 (9)(c). SEE ATTACHED SIGNED
NOTIFICATION FOR IMPORTED INERT MATERIAL
ITEM 4 —The North Clear Creek Construction Materials Mine is active annually but operations are seasonally
limited and less than 180 days. Per Rule 1.13.7 This TR ITEM 4 serves as Chevron's notice to the CDRMS to
request the intermittent status identified by CDRMS during the inspection.
ITEM 5 — Enclosed please find the required $216 Fee required for this TR submittal. SEE ATTACHED
CHECK$216.00 to CDRMS
For reference and to complete this submittal packet, I have included your correspondence from inspections of
April 13, 2016 and May 16, 2016. If you have any questions concerning this response, please feel free to
contact me at(970) -257-6021 or email me at rtgrubbs .chevron.com.
Regards,
Richard Grubbs, P.E.
Senior Process Engineer
HES Advisor—Waste and Water
Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company(a Chevron U.S. A.
